Georgian student to start a strawberry greenhouse enterprise
21-year-old student, Giorgi Tsirekidze has begun a strawberry greenhouse enterprise. He says at this moment the construction that covers 100 square meter area is almost ready and very soon it will be possible to begin planting seedlings.

“At this point, the construction covering 100 square meters is almost finished. Very little is left to do. I have already spent close to 8 000 GEL,”Tsirekidze says.

In his words, at the very beginning, his greenhouse will produce approximately 2 tons of strawberries, but in the future it will be possible to increase the output to 4 tons.

“The amount will be close to 2 tons at first and later it will increase significantly. In all, we can plant nearly 4 000 seedlings on this area. So, the maximum is about 4 tons of strawberries,” Tsirekidze says and adds that he plans to sell his products at local market places as

well as groceries.

The student also says that he tries to do everything by self-funding, but is ready to collaborate with anyone.

“I try to do this job all by myself and begin selling the production. If I take a loan now, it will only increase the expenses. However, if it will be a fellowship, it will be much better. I am also open for any kind of collaboration. In that case, it will be possible to take more land and accordingly, we’ll have more possibilities,” says the 21-year-old student.
