With the Ukrainian X Factor show qualifying stages nearing their conclusion, an audition in Lvov featured twenty-eight year old Georgian singer Shorena Chkhaidze on the stage. Shorena resides in Moscow, but for various reasons could not build a s
inging career in the Russian capital, prompting her to participate in the Ukrainian show.
The young performer offered an emotional song titled “Incantation” by Evgeny Martinov. The remarkable performance of a song about woman’s tragic love drove the judges and the audience to tears, with a brief silence after the song followed by a long round of applause. The judge panel unanimously advanced her to the next stage.
