Traditional Christmas march called Alilo (a modified form of Hallelujah) was held in the Georgian capital on January 7th. The participants started their march at 14:00, from the Square of Roses. There were priests, children, herdsmen and ‘magi’ among them. Besides,
some wild animals could be seen, like buffalos with carts full of presents; donkeys, decorative elephants, camels, turtles and even a giraffe.
Later, the Alilo marchers stopped at the Tbilisi City Assembly, where they were congratulated by the Mayor, Davit Narmania and the Chairman of the Assembly, Giorgi Alibegashvili.
The participants of Alilo were blessed by the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, Ilia II.
