Fly to Europe for 9.99 euros! - Wizzair marks visa liberalization with a special discount
Wizzair, the largest low-cost air company in Central and Eastern Europe is planning to mark the signing of a document granting Georgian citizens the right to travel visa-free to the Schengen countries, with a special 20% discount for all directions, the InterPressNews was informed from the Ministry of Economy.

According to them, a discount is valid from now until midnight on March 5.

"Passengers who plan to spend their holidays or weekends abroad, can purchase tickets online (www.wizzair.com) for only 9.99 euros, to 11 directions.

Wizzair believes that the introduction of visa-free travel by the European Parliament is another very important step towards the development of the country. In turn, the airline remains committed to Georgia and is always trying to make travel more affordable for its passengers. Wizzair’s weekend discount of 20% applies to 11 directions in 8 European countries, including Budapest, Warsaw, Milan, Vilnius, Thessaloniki and Berlin "- the Ministry of Economy says.

Wizzair performed its first flight from the Kutaisi International Airport in September 2012.

"After 4 years of successful operation, on September 23, 2016, Kutaisi became the 25th Wizzair base with one Airbus A320- type aircraft, and 11 directions to 8 European countries. As a result of this investment, the company spent $98 million and created 36 new jobs.

In addition, in 2016 the airline in Georgia served 168 000 passengers and recorded an annual growth of 35%, thus encouraging the local aviation and tourist areas and employing 126 people in the local market,” the Ministry of Economy adds.

Wizzair’s Communications Manager Sorina Rats calls on low-cost flight lovers to hurry and buy tickets.

“Wizzair marks granting visa-free travel to Georgian citizens with 20% discount on all flights operated from Georgia. To celebrate this important step, we are pleased to offer our passengers the opportunity to enjoy a 20% discount to 11 directions from Kutaisi airport. The discount is valid until midnight of March 5 and we call on everybody to buy the tickets as quickly as possible,” Sorina Rats says.

Wizzair is the largest low-cost air company in the Central and Eastern Europe, whose fleet includes 77 Airbus A320 and A321 aircrafts. Airline offers its customers the flights to 500 directions from 28 base airports, connecting 137 cities of 40 countries. Wizzair team, which consists of approximately 3,000 aviation professionals, is offering its customers the highest quality service and tickets at the lowest price, which is the reason why Wizzair was chosen by more
than 23 million passengers in 2016. Wizzair is presented on the London Stock Exchange, with a Ticker ‘WIZZ’ and is reflected with FTSE 250 and FTSE total prices index. Wizzair joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and is recognized by the Operational Safety Audit as a member. The airline has recently been named the best low budget airline in 2016 by the leading aviation magazine Air Transport World and the Aviation Center (CAPA).

The abovementioned discount includes tariffs, taxes and all mandatory fees, as well as a small piece of hand luggage. The discount is valid only for new bookings.
