Back a new Georgian film Dede about Svaneti’s harsh traditions on Kickstarter
28 October, 2015
Yet another Georgian project has been presented at Kickstarter, a platform that allows entrepreneurs to find the resources they need to implement their projects. Mariam Khatchvani, a director and screenwriter from Georgia’s remote Svaneti region, whose film Dinola was nominated for the Best Short Film for the European Film Awards, is directing a new movie named Dede about the love story and the ancient traditions of Georgia’s mountainous village Ushguli.

The story falls into three sections - Spring, Summer and
Winter. The team has already filmed Spring and Summer – but in order to finish the final section, Winter, they need to accumulate £38800 (euros 48000).Since winter is coming, they have to complete the third part of the film by the end of December or the team will be in deep snow and will have to wait until next year.

Those who would like to contribute to this project will get few presents that one can find on the website, in exchange for their support. Hurry up! The deadline is November 26,2015.
