New Georgian animation Lile to be completed soon
20 October, 2016
A new Georgian short animation named Lile will soon be completed. The 10-minute animation is about a girl named Lile, left in lifeless forest, seeking her own reflection to bring the light back to the world. It is noteworthy that the name Lile [lee-leh] originates from Georgia’s remote Svaneti region and means the sun. Also it is the name of the goddess of the sun. The animation is undergoing its final stages and is 20 Steps Productions product. The team back
of the animation is as follows: director and animator Natia Nikolashvili, producer Vladimer Kacharava.

“The idea was born around 4 years ago, when I was listening to the piece by Irish pianist, yet since then it has changed many times until ending up as the script. The short animation will be completed by the beginning of December that will be followed by presenting Lile at various festivals around the world”, - Natia Nikolashvili, director of Lile, told Georgian Journal.

Natia is 27 years old. She graduated from Theatre and Film Georgia State University, faculty of Animation Directing. In 2010 she directed her graduation animation named The Country of Rising Sun. Since then she has been involved in different projects and worked on adverts and hand painted animations. Lile will be her debut work.
