Computer Hard Drive Backup Beyond Georgia
25 July, 2013
Earlier this week, one of the Silicon Valley’s, USA most steady high-growth technology companies held its first-ever developer conference — DBX — marking a potentially historical turning point for an already large company with the potential to become even larger.  The company — Dropbox — has all the ingredients for the breakout status it has earnestly earned. The initial idea looked so simple (perhaps, only a feature) that some of today’s savviest investors passed  early, the company took root inside
Y Innovator, perfectly timed its cloud storage offering, differentiated against incumbent solutions on speed and efficacy, fine-tuned and arbitraged a wickedly clever business model against declining storage fees and increasing rates of device obsolescence, famously spurned an acquisition offer by Steve Jobs, a multi-billion dollar valuation, and now, with a feature in WIRED and from 2013 looking ahead, is embarking on a path very few companies get the opportunity to experience: to potentially be a great, independent, standalone technology company.
Dropbox  www.dropbox.com under marketing slogan “Your stuff, anywhere” offers 2 GB up to 18 GB (500 MB per referral, when you bring a new user  ) free of charge web storage of your files, the same idea stands behind Google Drive you can share file with an email address or mailing  list . Besides Google, Georgia based computer users can use 10 GB of yandex.ru disc storage, Flickr www.flickr.com for free of charge video storage 1 terabyte=537,731 6,5 megapixel photos !
And again Google product-Picasa, although Picasa is not yet certified for operating with Windows 8, a large number of  people  use Picasa 3.9 to organize, edit and share their  photos on picasa.google.com. Was for are these storage services? The answer: hard disc of your office or home computer can collapse and it’s not essential: PATA , SATA, SCSI or SSD type hard drive is in your comp, you need backup , Dropbox, Google, Flickr and  Yandex provide  resilience and disaster recovery even in case you’ve spilled a mug of coffee on your hard drive. Just please make sure that vital for you data had been saved there before coffee spill.
