“Georgian Fruit Export Company” is preparing for the coming season. Its managers are planning to export Georgian fruit to Ukraine and Russia.
By the end of May, when the season begins, the company is planning to take its peaches to these two foreign markets. As the company’s representatives say, there is a demand for Georgian fruit both in Ukraine and Russia, but determining the price is difficult for the moment.
The company started its activities in 2013. It has storage
and refrigerating facilities in Kakheti and Western Georgia. The company buys fruit from peasants and farmers, packages and exports it.
During the winter season (starting from November) the company sold over 200 tons of tangerines in Ukraine and Russia.
