Exchange rate on dollar rising by the hour: “This is the fault of economic policy”

Some of Georgia’s commercial banks are already buying at 2 GEL per $1. Their webpages are publishing information regarding national currency’s exchange rate in real-time mode.
Bank of Georgia sells dollars at 2.01 GEL and buys at 1.93. TBC Bank sells at 2 GEL and buys at 1.92. The same goes for Bank Republic. As for Liberty Bank, it sells at 1.98 and buys at 1.91.
Following the banks, currency exchange booths also set their rates above 2 GEL. Most
of them now sell at 2.01 and buy within the range of 1.91 to 1.95 GEL.
