Georgian-Azerbaijani joint company AG Telecom starts the production of TV sets.
Mikheil Ghlonti, the director of the company said, that new TV sets will appear in the second half of April. The company will present 32 and 40 inch Led TV sets that will compete with imported products.
‘We have been working on this project for 6 months already. The idea arose quite a while ago but its implementation took a long time. The first, experimental panels are ready and
we think they will be competitive on the market,’ - Mikheil Ghlonti says.
The company representatives also say that Georgian TV sets will be cheaper than those imported. The exact prices are unknown but approximately, the 32-inch TV will cost 195 USD and 40-inch TV – 300 USD.
300 000 USD were invested in this project. The construction of AG Telecom factory began in 2013, after the investments made by a Georgian businessman.
