Bidzina Ivanishvili’s property decreased by USD 400 mln according to Forbes Magazine
Forbes magazine has published the ranking of billionaires and the former Prime Minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili’s position has worsened comparing to the last year. In 2015, Ivanishvili, with USD 5.2 billion was 291st in the list, while this year,
with 4.8 billion dollars, his position is 298th.
According to Forbes, Ivanishvili is still number one billionaire in Georgia.

“Bidzina Ivanishvili, who lives in a 108,000-square-foot compound in the mountains overlooking Tbilisi, was elected prime minister of Georgia in October 2012. Thirteen months later he stepped down after his party won the presidential elections, saying he'd fulfilled his task. Georgia's richest person by far, he made his money in Russia and moved back home in 2003. Over the years he sold off his businesses and reinvested the proceeds in gold, Russian and American equities, and art. His art collection, worth an estimated $1 billion, includes Dora Maar with Cat by Picasso, which he bought at Sotheby's in 2006 for $95 million. In June 2015 he bought Niko Pirosmani's masterpiece, Arsenal Hill at Night, paying a record $1.5 million for a painting by a Georgian artist. He then gave the painting to the State Museum of Arts of Georgia. His son Bera helped start a new TV show in Georgia in 2015 called "2030" in which Ivanishvili himself often participates,” Forbes informs.

Generally, according to Forbes, there are 1 810 billionaires in the world today, which is less than in the last year (1826). Their total property amounts to 6.48 trillion dollars, which is less than in the last year, by 570 million.

The world’s richest man is Bill Gates, whose property is 57 billion dollars. He is followed by Amancio Ortega, 57 billion, Uarren Buffet, 60.8 billion, Carlos Slim, 50 billion and Jeff Bezos, 45.2 billion.
