seating 50 people, café-bar, terrace and private parking space. The hotel offers high-class service and perfect conditions, in one word, everything to meet the needs of its guests. In total 20 people have been employed at the hotel.

As the Mayor of Tbilisi said, this is a very important hotel and has a good strategic location.

“Intensive renovation works are carried out in this district by Tbilisi City hall, correspondingly the flow of tourists will increase considerably. This hotel represents a serious novelty for the city from many points of view, in terms of employment and revenue growth in the budget as well as the new investment and many good changes the city will embrace from socio-economic perspective”, - said Davit Narmania .

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development congratulated the city with opening of the new hotel and offered it owners to purchase yet another building on the same street in order to further expand their business in the future.

“This hotel is yet another facility that will enable us to host more guests in our country that is crucial to develop the tourism industry in our country. Tourism is our economy’s traditional direction that is expanding very quickly. It generates 1, 8 billion USD in the country's tax balance and according to the latest data, employs 180 000 people. Last year we hosted 5,9 million foreign visitors and now we must increase this number to 11 millions. It means that we as a country and government will do our best and put significant investments to attract more tourists in the country”, - noted Dimitri Kumsishvili.

City Avenue is the pilot hotel of the company and its owners plan to open four more hotels throughout Tbilisi as well as other regions of the country. The second 3-star Hotel Ibis with 100 rooms on Queen Tamar Avenue will be completed and go into operation by 2016.

“We are happy with the opening of a new hotel in Tbilisi. This is a significant event especially when the number of tourists is increasing month by month. Based on February’s data, the international visits to Georgia have increased by 24 percent. We are glad that the private sector is taking adequate and timely steps in order to strengthen the tourism potential of our country”, - said Giorgi Chogovadze - Head of Georgian National Tourism Administration.

The grand opening ceremony was carried out by invent company Bloom Invents, the guests had an opportunity to walk around the hotel, sample delicious dishes prepared by the chef as well as enjoy beautiful classical live music.

“This is our first hotel in Georgia and we put considerable effort to make it as best as possible. We are planning to open one more new hotel in March of 2017 and think to further expand our business in the country” – noted Mehmet Surkit, owner of City Avenue.
