Grand cheese tasting in Tbilisi – Organic products from 50 producers

Cheese Festival is taking place at Tbilisi’s Roses Square until 5 pm today. The festival is organized by Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia. Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili and the mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze opened the event.

"50 cheese producers participate in the festival, including agricultural cooperatives. Georgian cheese made based on traditional methods and ancient recipes, as well as European, branded cheese analogues produced in Georgia are presented at the fair.

The cheese producers
showcase the cheese-making methods at the festival. Visitors have an opportunity to get insight into the process of producing dense cottage cheese, muffle and other types of cheese. Within the frames of festival, visitors have an opportunity to sample various kinds of cheese at the place as well as purchase them.
