Publishing House Media Partners Georgia will present Forbes Georgia according to
the special license agreement with the American-based Forbes Media.“Forbes Georgia is happy to join efforts with the global Forbes team in identifying and reporting on the people, ideas and technologies that are changing the world,” Revaz Sakevarishvili, Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Georgia, said at the presentation event. “As it was declared in our mission statement, Forbes magazine and its readers believe in the power of free enterprise (the free flow of ideas and capital) to create a better country as part of the better world.”
He believes that since a century-old brand of Forbes set its choice on Georgia, it means that it sees a potential here.
“It is understood on the one hand, that business and economic process are quite active in the country, on the other hand, this niche proved to be free, there is no other corresponding business publication; either local or international; from this point of view this provides quite good starting condition in Georgia. If we take into consideration that even unpublished edition of this first issue of the magazine attracted advertisements, it means that the brand factor, the team factor, the content factor works and we hope we will have a success story,” Sakevarishvili told Georgian Journal.
According to him, first of all, Forbes Georgia is a Georgian magazine focused on local market; however, it will reflect all processes ongoing in neighboring countries of the region.
“Actually all processes in our neighboring countries will be included in the magazine as much as possible, since all processes in the neighboring countries traditionally have a serious impact on Georgia, the regional focus will be built in the magazine but the focus falls on Georgian market. Our ambition is to maximally utilize Georgian content on the first phase and then increase proportions gradually so that Georgian content prevails,” Sakevarishvili said.
