Spanish MP Calls on Georgian Citizens Not to Allow Russian Exercises Influence Georgian Election

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Spanish Congress of Deputies Josep Antoni Duran I Lleida asks citizens of Georgia not to allow Russian military training planned in the Caucasus influence Georgian elections.
The Spanish deputy stated about it after meeting chair of foreign relations committee of parliament Akaki Minashvili and chair of European integration committee Davit Darchiashvili.
The MP says that the parliamentary election will take place in Georgia in October, he is also informed that Russia prepares

military exercises for Autumn, so he wants to call on Georgian citizens, if Russia takes any steps regarding Russian military exercises, not to avoid going to elections.
Josep Antoni Duran I Lleida reiterated support to Georgia’s territorial integrity and condemned Russian occupation. As for today’s meeting, Spanish guests say that the implemented reforms were discussed, which promotes Georgia’s integration in European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
He says that Spain values Georgia’s aspiration to the European and Western family and hopes that the Chicago summit will at least recognize that Georgia meets the commitments, which is the foundation of Georgia’s future NATO membership.
Josep Antoni Duran I Lleida stated that Georgia is part of Christian and European world and will be an EU member in future if not soon.
