Fourth Red Bull Break Dance Qualifying Round in Tbilisi
For the fourth time already Tbilisi hosted on 13 April the qualifying round of the South Caucasus Red Bull BC One 2014 – the prestigious championship. The event took place at the Evgeny Mikeladze National Music Center. 16 B-boys – nine Georgians and seven Armenians – took part in the competition. The winner will go to Zagreb, capital city of Croatia for another qualifying round. If he wins there too, he will go to Paris to compete in the world finale
of the Red Bull BC One 2014.
These Georgians were: Pioneer, Key Key, Pankis, Jambaz, Adel, Tomorrow, Leito, Lextar, N&K; and Armenians: Predator, Azo, Pollux, Booble, Flex Feet, Actor, and Thief.
The referees were: Hong 10 (Korea) – acting champion, winner of Red Bull BC One 2013; Neguin (Brazil) – member of Red Bull BC One All Stars and world champion of 2010 and Bootuz (Russia) – one of the most famous Russian B-boys.
The musical arrangements belonged to DJ Ciga. The anchor was MC Samori.
The hall was full of teenagers, since it is their favorite genre. Everyone was really excited. The winner was B-Boy Pioneer from Georgia. “The championship is being held for the fourth time already in the South Caucasus. I have won for the second time. I am happy that I will represent Georgia at the qualifying round in Zagreb, Croatia. I will try to train more, do my best and - even more - win,” Pioneer from Georgia commented.
“The participants performed on a very high level. I did not expect such strong competitors. Pioneer was the strongest and he really deserved this victory,” the referee B-Boy Neguin from Brazil noted.
Until today, Georgia has seen referees such as breakdance legends Lilou, Cico, Roxrite, MOunir, Ronnie, as well as Airdit, Yan The Shrimp, Slav. Like in recent years, the tradition will not be broken and the main referee at the qualifying round will be the acting world champion. This is Hong 10 – Korean B-Boy, who has obtained a champion’s status in his homeland at Red BUll BC One’s Grandiose Jubilee Finale. It was him who, together with the other judges, chose the winner of the South Caucasus Qualifying Round. The winner Pioneer will have a realistic chance to reveal his capabilities next to the world’s best breakdancers during the Paris world finale of Red Bull BC One 2014.
