Georgian fairy tale to turn into a world-class 3D animation – Ambitious project by Georgian animators
“The girl and the golden fish”, the famous fairy tale by a Georgian writer, Guram Petriashvili will soon be presented as a 3D animation. The authors of the project say thanks to its content and perfect quality this animation will take its deserved place among those produced by some leading companies of the world, like Pixar, Dreamworks, Bluesky etc.

This ambitious project is being implemented by Halfpace studio, which consists of some very experienced animators, graphic designers and other professionals.
Levan Lapachi, the producer told Georgian Journal the short version of the film will be sent to several festivals and in case of success, the longer version will be produced.

“Currently we are working on the project at our own expense and we are going to upload it to indiegogo.com and kickstarter.com. If we raise money that is necessary to produce high-quality animation, then not only our creative team but also our country as a whole will become part of the world animation market,” Lapachi told us.

The abovementioned film will be without dialogues as it will entirely be presented only by emotions and actions. Thus it will be more accessible and comprehensible for foreign viewers.

The first teaser of “The girl and the golden fish” will be presented shortly but before that happens Levan Lapachi says he hopes Georgian businessmen will become interested in this project, because if this kind of Georgian product finds its way to the world market, then Georgia as a whole will be raised into the completely new level.
