Last year, another Georgian director Rati Tsiteladze was also selected for the same program with the project Empty House.

Mariam Khatchvani’s Dede unveils love story of a girl from Georgia’s Svaneti region, where harsh traditions are still preserved. It is especially important that the film is shot in the historic region of UNESCO's World Heritage Status in Svaneti, Georgia’s remote highland. Dede is a drama about love and the ancient traditions, which still govern the lives of local people.
