Georgia’s summer festival not to miss - Art Gene
Summer season is a special period in Georgia. The country boasts a number of music festivals among which Art Gene is one of the most beloved events both by natives and tourists. Every year the festival traditionally takes place in the open air, in the beautiful Open Air Museum of Ethnography in Tbilisi. Art Gene brings celebrated Georgian bands and folk musicians in one place, introducing Georgian music to the audience. This year the festival rolls out on July 8 and
lasts until July 15.

The festival is quite diverse, apart from live concerts performed by renowned Georgian musicians, the program includes an exhibition of modern art, handcraft, Georgian cuisine, national dances as well as folklore shows. Art Gene counts 14 years of history under its belt. The festival intends discovering and chronicling unique ethnographic materials as well as promoting folk music and prominent local bands. The festival tours around the regions of Georgia and ends in the capital Tbilisi. If you are eager to explore Georgian culture and music, or simply want to chill out, escape city noise and enjoy delicious Georgian cuisine, then you should definitely drop in the venue.
