Robert Plant performed at the Black Sea Arena

The 12th Black Sea Jazz Festival was opened with a performance from Robert Plant. The concert was held at the Black Sea Arena and lasted for about 90 minutes. The Festival itself continues until the 22nd of July and is being held at the Batumi Tennis Club. Festival participants include famous musicians, such as Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper and others.

Robert Plant, the lead singer of the British rock band Led Zeppelin arrived in Georgia the day before yesterday. The singer
was invited to Georgian restaurant “Sufra” to try out various Georgian dishes and Chacha (Georgian pomace brandy).

The Black Sea Jazz Festival is an annual festival that takes place in the Adjara Region bringing world renowned artists and musicians to the Georgian scene. The festival has a 12-year history under its belt. Snoop Dogg, Prodigy, Lauryn Hill, Busta Rhymes, Jamiroquai and many other musicians have previously performed in front of a mainly Georgian audience at the festival.
