Georgian cultural days in Belarus

Minsk, the capital of Belarus hosts the Georgian cultural days dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the first democratic republic of Georgia. The festival kicks off from the 31st of August and lasts till the 2nd of September. The festival will screen Georgian films and exhibit expositions about the 100th anniversary of the democratic republic of Georgia.

It will include the events of “Tbilisoba” festival. "Tbilisoba" is an annual
October festival which celebrates the diversity and history of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. It was first held on October 28th, 1979, and has since become an established tradition in Tbilisi.

Georgian folk dances and songs will be performed at the festival. Visitors will be able to taste Georgian cuisine and wine. Supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Georgian State Academic Ensemble of National dances will give a concert at the end of the 3-day event in Belarus.

The project is organized by the Embassy of Georgia in Belarus. Last year, Belarus cultural days took part in Tbilisi, Georgia. Georgia was visited by a delegation of 60 people,including members of The Choreographic Ensemble, National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the National History Museum of Belarus.
