The title of the article is “Georgienzeigt seine Kultur” meaning “Georgia shows its culture.” The author writes that Georgia (
whose representatives will also beat the German Book Fair) presents itself in many ways at the Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt.

“From the big stage on the north side of the Main, the basses are throbbing as Georgian DJs set up their sets. It smells smoky and spicy. These are the different types of meat roasting over an open fire.”

Representative of the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Salome Berikashvili explains to the author that the marinated meat skewers are called “Mtsvadi” and is part of food culture in Georgia along with the wine.

Georgian wine is presented by Paata Bolotashvili. He exports wines from small producers in Georgia and sends them all over the world. He says that there are many customers, especially in Italy.

Wine from Georgia, explains the dealer, has an 8 000-year-old tradition - the production method in earthenware vessels called “Qvevri” in Georgian has already been included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. “Crushed grapes are left to ferment in the “Qvevri” for months. The result is a special amber colour to the wine."

Virtual reality glasses, installed in the tourism corner of the Georgia exhibition introduce the visitors to virtual landscapes in Georgia –there is everything: flower meadows, mountain massif, cathedrals, resort zones, etc.

“Children paint the curved letters of the Georgian alphabet next door. The alphabet is also on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. "Georgia - Made by Characters" is the motto of the guest of honour at the book fair. Also books like "Journey to Karabakh" by Aka Morchiladze and "Juja" by Nino Kharatishvili are presented."

The author reminds the readers that there will be even more Georgian culture at the Book Fair from the 10th to the 14th of October.
