Khatia Buniatishvili performs in Georgia
On the 15th of September, Khatia Buniatishvili performed with the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Vakhtang Kakhidze at the Djansug Kakhidze Tbilisi Center for Music & Culture The performer played the Rakhmaninoff’s 2nd piano concerto and a masterpiece of the modest Moussorgsky “Pictures at the exhibition” arranged by Maurice Ravel.
The concert was a part of the International Music Festival “Autumn Tbilisi” which started on the 7th of September and lasts until the 17th of October. This year the
festival includes 10 concerts and hosts musicians from Germany, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Spain and Poland.

Khatia Buniatishvili and the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra have not performed together for 10 years. The general rehearsal prior to the formal concert had a full crowd .The rehearsal went very well and the audience was grateful that they had a chance to listen to the musicians for free. The musicians were conducted by Vakhtang Kakhidze , who left a wonderful impression on the audience and the performers.
