Georgian Beqa Adamashvili EU Prize for Literature 2019 winners
14 emerging authors from across Europe have been announced as laureates of the 2019 European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL). Beqa Adamashvili from Georgia is among the 14 prize holders. The EUPL is an award which recognizes outstanding new and emerging literary talents across Europe and highlights the wealth of contemporary European literature.

The prize also draws attention to the continent’s unique cultural and linguistic heritage. So far, the EUPL has awarded 108 authors from 41 countries and th

European Union Prize For Literature 2019 announced the three shortlisted finalists from Georgia in April:

1. Beqa Adamashvili, Everybody dies in the novel, Sulakauri Publishing, 2018
2. Luka Bakanidze, Are You, Lazarus, Palitra L publishing, 2018
3. Iva Pezuashvili, Gospel of the underground, Intelekti publishing, 2018

Beqa Adamashvili is a Georgian writer, journalist, comedian and blogger. In 2013, he participated in the literary contest for students 'Legend of the Fall' and his short story 'XXVIII: Full Stop' took the first prize. In 2014, he published his debut book ‘Bestseller’, which is a satirical fiction genre. The novel was shortlisted as the best novel for literary award SABA and Tsinandali Award.
