Georgian Wine Festival 2019 to be held on October 12 on the Shardeni street

Those who are interested and want to know more about Georgian wine can attend Georgian Wine Festival 2019 on October 12 on the Shardeni street. Event starts at 12 pm and lasts till 7 pm.
Minister of Agriculture Levan Davitashvili will open the event. Georgian Wine Festival is being held for the third time and is organized by and Meidan Group. Small and large wine making companies will be represented on the venue, as well as startups. Masterclass in wine
degustation is planned to be held.

Saturday is forecasted to be sunny, so anyone can attend With their families and friends and enjoy the event!

This is a large scale event, participants work every day and create new programs, performances, characters, which will be presented at the venue.

Apart from degustation and wine trading, products that are connected to wine will also be represented, like cheese, churchkhela, dried fruit and honey. Hand made accessories and book about wine will also be available.

After the opening ceremony by the Minister of Agriculture, folk ensemble Shvidkatsa (group consisting of seven men) will occupy the stage. Performance consists of three parts. The first half of the day will be dedicated to folk and old Tbilisian songs by groups like Torda, Adilei, Marua, Ranina and dance ensembles.

Rezo and children and Eli’s Band will proceed performances afterwards.

Theatrical performances about Georgian wine are to be held on the territory of the Festival. Georgian national folk ensembles, modern musicians and dancers will perform for a whole day, including Georgian folk songs. Presentation of the book by Alice Feiring “For the Love of Wine: My Odyssey Through the World’s Most Ancient Wine Culture” will be held on 1 pm. Tourists and attendees can enjoy different shows including fire show and drummers show.
