Fest i Nova 2010

From September 30 till October 13, Art Villa Garikula hosts second International Festival of Contemporary Art in honor of Zdanevich Brothers - Fest i Nova 2010.

Fest i Nova 2010’s objective is to establish an international platform for art where artists from Georgia and abroad can exchange innovative ideas and cooperate.
Festival takes place at Art Villa Garikula – first regional contemporary art center in Georgia, which is located in the 19th century historical monument, so called Bolgarski Palace situated in

village Garikula, Kaspi District (Shida Kartli).
This year Fest i Nova has different participants from Georgia, Ukraine, Norway, Holland, Germany, Austria, France, USA, Armenia, Lithuania and Azerbaijan. Artists are presenting individual works of art as well as joint international projects. Art works presented at the festival range from photos, photo collages to films, 3D films, paintings, graphic art, compositions, multimedia art, sculptures, poetry, conceptual art, installations, art objects, performances, etc.
Festival also hosts young artists within the framework of its program “Young Georgian Artists”. Artists’ talks, workshops, lectures and master classes for Georgian students, as well as an educational program for youth and IDP children from Shida Kartli Region are conducted during the festival.

17:00-18:00 - Presentation of Project “Aket-Ikit Batumi” by Jean Dupuy (France) and Guela Tsouladze (France); Tasting of Georgian Wine in the 19th c. Bolgarski  Palace Wine Cellar

October 7-9
14:00-20:00 - American Pavilion (two-part exhibition-presentation). The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Information (USA) presents Exhibition (prints on fabric, architectural model, 3D photo, video) and 3D film screening followed by concert. Authors of the project: Nanuka Tchitchua and Wade Ivy - Tasting of Georgian wine in “Bolgarski  Palace Wine Cellar”

October 8
14:00-18:00 - Visit 3rd Tbilisi International Contemporary Art Exhibition and Art Events “Artisterium” at Art Villa Garikula

16:00 - Opening of photo exhibition of ProCredit Bank’s project ProArt;

October 10
12:00-19:00 - Conceptual show (art objects, installations, digital media mix, photo collage) – ‘Thinking about Paradise’.  Author of the project: Khatuna Mzarelua (Georgia)
