OCCUPY CCA
What you’ll read below is the concept of my curatorial project about food and price.
Generally in an

agricultural country, which derived its name from agriculture, has to offer a diversity of food products for a quite reasonable price, along with cultural, industrial, commercial and other activities connected to the theme. The subject I’ve chosen came to me after one dialogue regarding this topic. Working on this delicate issue, I understood that it has to be something intensive, interesting, a bit funny, with enough sharpness and somehow softly merging with the winter holydays, since  the show that started on December 23 will last for one month.

CONCEPT STARTUP
- I’m impressed, Venice was much cheaper than I could imagine; let’s say, pasta cost me only ˆ0.45!
- You live in Tbilisi and that’s why you feel so, because it’s two times more than in Amsterdam and you can even find pasta at 20 cents...
That was a conversation between me and my friend, after which, I’ve realized why always at the end of TV news they are informing us about how something was sold at several millions abroad and people strongly believe, that they are lucky bustards, as they can at least shop cheaper products here; but its still unclear what/who fixes the prices on food in Georgia - is that a peasants’ and farmers’ conspiracy or lack of corporations?
DIRECT ACTION
By this show, we want to occupy CCA exhibition space to analyze chili prices and sweet food on the social-mystical level; sensibly communicate with the audience by colors and textures of Fall/Winter of 2011 and via this feedback achieve the Vanilla-Happy New Year.

SURFACE
This Exhibition shows the importance of surface from different angels.
Clay sculptures reflect different relations to surface; they study its meaning and reasons for its forms.
Clay is sensitive not homogeneous matter which is born due to complex combinations after weathering or coming in contact with minerals. It comprises many combinations.
The "living" surface of these objects points at the touch, personal experience, which define sensitivity and way of seeing and instead of hidden meaning it concentrates on visible organic and feasible surface. It denies the negative context of superficiality and thus, in any private, social, political or cultural spaces the visible surface is defined as primary and essential sign.
Therefore it is made possible to read the surface, to feel it and see the visible.
