Artistic Seminar on Woodwork and Organic Grow Bed Construction

The 4 day seminar begins with a meta-lecture on wood and the art of performed mastership. It will serve as a theoretical background for the following two days of workshop exercise. The students can choose from two options of exercise in the workshop: either he/she will work on his/her own creation in wood, or the student will take part in a lead construction process on organic breeding beds.

Option one: students can work on wood in any form, using tools, techniques

and methods of any kind that he/she will bring to the workshop.

Option two: the student will participate in the process of constructing and building grow beds for the Organic Field Academy in Shindisi.

In these two days of exercise, the students will contemplate on the used material, its character and ways to treat and form them.

The seminar will conclude with a reflection phase, where each student shares his/her experiences of the form-finding, work-process and performance-result. The lecturers feed-back will focus on the principles of intuition, knowledge and efficiency and how material, tools and techniques were used.

Wednesday, 11 April: from 15:00 till 18:00 at CCAT - Daniel and Mamuka.
