Extraordinary wedding shoot in Georgia’s natural wonders
Georgia is rich in beautiful sights and natural wonders that often serve as perfect locations for wedding shoots. Both Georgian and foreign couples started shooting their weddings in a rather extraordinary and unique sites of the country. The photos of newly married Georgian couple of a hiker and a mountain climber have been featured on popular website Bored panda.

“Giga and Shorena are the couple of extreme travel lovers from Georgia , members of Climbers and Travelers Club ”Tetnuldi”. Shorena
is a hiker, Giga - a professional mountain climber. When they decided to get married, Giga decided it would be better to link the wedding ceremony to the places they loved. That is why they tied the knot in the church located in the Khvamli mountain. Khvamli or Khomli is a limestone massif in western Georgia. It stands at 2,002 metres (6,568 ft) above sea level and forms a double cuesta, consisting of Cretaceous limestone units and covered by mixed forests. The caves of Khvamli feature in the 14th-century Georgian chronicle as the abode of treasures of the kings of Georgia. According to a local legend, Amirani (the Georgian prototype of Prometheus) is enchained to the bluffs of this mountain and is being perpetually tortured by a raven. Their wedding photo shoot also took place in Prometeus Cave, which is one of Georgia’s natural wonders and one of the largest in the world and has many underground rivers. It was discovered in 1984. Its unique features include a variety of halls and landscape diversity. Four distinct layers were formed during different stages of the Earth’s development and tourists are able to journey through the historic territory by foot or boats. Prometheus Cave is one of the most popular international tourist caves, and includes various types of stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, petrified waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers, and lakes. The cluster of six caves differs significantly from each other in scale and the unique shapes of petrified flowstones found within”, - the story reads.
