Gudauri ski resort is located on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. It lies 120 km (75 mi) to the north of the capital Tbilisi
and two hours drive from the Tbilisi International Airport or even a short helicopter flight from the capital.

The resort is situated in the Stepantsminda District, along the Georgian Military Highway near the Cross Pass, at an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 ft.) above sea level with skiable area enjoying maximum exposure to the sun.

Gudauri resort offers high quality skiing opportunities and is certainly one of the best places for extreme sport lovers.

According to the website, adequate so - called “ski pass prices” are the main reason of Gudauri’s popularity among European skiers and tourist.

"In Gudauri you can eat in less price and huge portions. In addition, you will have a great choice of living places here. You can stay both in a hostel or a 5-star hotel ", - the publication reads.

On the other hand, the disadvantages of the Georgia’s ski resort are highlighted as well. "Skiing in the evening is possible only once in a week and only on easy route. If you decide to hire equipment, be sure to check carefully.

There are not many nightclubs and café-bars in Gudauri . The nightlife lovers might get a little bit bored there.

The service is not quite ideal, but the hospitality of Georgian people compensates it”, - Reports the website.
