Historic project - 10 Georgian wines to try through lifetime
Mukuzani, Saperavi, Kindzmarauli, Tsitska, Tvishi, Kisi, Krakhuna or Tsinandali? Semi-sweet red or semi-dry white? The variety is huge and the choice is yours. However, this time you will have to select the best wine not to drink at the dinner but to reveal the best Georgian wine species. So the historical project 10 Georgian wines to try through lifetime has been launched.

Approximately 50 000 participants have already got involved in this projcet. At the Georgian Wine Festival which was
held on October 15th, selection process started that included blind tasting as well. Within the frames of the project social media users are able to vote online for their favorite wines. The audience of following websites: Kviris Palitra, Lelo, Autobuild and Gza can vote as well.

"The project has a great importance; it is aimed to promote Georgian wine in Georgia as well as among the tourists. Everyone who appreciates Georgian culture, Georgian wine and ancient traditions should participate in this project. This is the public project and we are obliged to participate in it and at the same time take the selection process with great responsibility. Exactly these wines will become our trademark and will occupy an honorable place in each Georgian family” – the head of the project Irakli Saamishvili notes.
The project is divided into two stages. At the first stage, after the completion of the public voting, 10 species of wine will be revealed, 5 white and 5 red. For those who want to simplify the choice of species the degustation is planned where they will have an opportunity to learn more about wine species and reveal their favorite wine for which they will vote later within the project.

After selecting different sorts of wine , the companies who will have a desire to join the project and will satisfy the requirements, will be able to present their favorite wines at wine tastings. Selection of the best wines will be carried out in several stages and the best winemakers will be revealed by the professional and experienced sommeliers.

It is noteworthy that 10 best Georgian wines will not be revealed at once. The best winemakers will be named gradually in different categories. Georgian wine lovers will be able to purchase the winning wine.

The project 10 Georgian wines to try through lifetime is being initiated and carried out by Palitra Media. The goal of the project is to promote Georgian wine and subsequnetly make the distinguished Georgian wines available to anyone. The foreigners will have an opportunity to discover the best Georgian wines and ensure that Georgia truly deserves the title of the cradle of wine.
