Discover Georgia’s ski resorts in one video

Winter is coming and Georgia is preparing to host as many tourists as possible and offer them a wide selection of winter resorts the country is graced with. This amazing footage by Georgian National Tourism Administration shows country’s top winter resorts where both ski lovers as well as simply holidaymakers would spend memorable days.

The video presents Georgia’s mountainous regions famous for their ski resorts.



First comes Svaneti (1450 meters above sea level), a historic province in northwestern part of
the country and one of the most remote places famous for its medieval towers and modern ski infrastructure. The region is considered the highest inhabited place in Europe. Svaneti’s Ushba Mount with two summits that can be seen in the video It is 6th highest mount in Georgia.

Second comes Bakuriani (1700 meters above sea level) in Borjomi district of Georgia , known for its spruce-fir forests and pure air quality. The place is ideal both for family vacations or youth crazy trips.

Goderdzi (1700 meters above sea level) is the newest resort located in Georgia’s western Adjara Region.The place is a real winter wonderland that gets the most snow in the country because of the high precipitation. Goderdzi resort is dotted with small log cabins that as a result create e a perfect mix of authentic atmosphere and modernity.

Gudauri (2100 meters above sea level) located on the south-facing plateau of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia, is one of the oldest ski resorts in Georgia, famous for its variety of ski tracks. The area is free from trees, so it is a perfect place for free riders and heliskiing lovers.
