She also says that she was amazed how at some restaurants plates full of food are piled up on each other as there was no more space on the table. “I didn’t have a single bad meal during a nine-day trip (as a guest of the tourism board), but the standouts were at the cozy Poliphonia in Tbilisi and at Pheasant’s Tears, a boutique winery in the charming town of Sighnaghi, known as the “city of wine and love” – says Abel.

She also talks about the history of wine that goes back to more than 7,000 years and the variety of grapes that grow in Georgian vineyards.

In her other article “The 12 Coolest Neighborhoods around the World” she lists Georgia as one the trendiest places to visit and talks about the capital Tbilisi. Mentioning the street of “Plekhanov”, she talks about how the newly renovated “Agmashenebeli” street with the opening of “Fabrika” has earned the attention of the public eye.
“Fabrika” once known as a Soviet sewing factory has now emerged to a local cafe, bar, studio, and hostel. “This area is a mixture of young creators and tourists, and there’s live music most evenings.” – says Abel.
