If you are in Tbilisi and try to escape the summer heat, check out the Lisi Lake. It is located at the 615-730 meters above the sea level. The Lisi Lake is one of the most popular recreational zones in Tbilisi. It is distinguished by its diverse fauna. The recreational zone includes jogging and bike paths, an open café, sport and playground facilities and the renovated beach for tan lovers. The surrounding place is perfect for picnics, also to relaxe and play
with your children and friends .

Second place to visit is Museum of Fine arts on Gudashvili Str.1 in Tbilisi, where you will see historic examples of Georgian fine arts. The gallery was established in 1920 and it preserves collections of Georgian cultural heritage and the treasury saved by Ekvtime Takaishvili. The museum exhibits Georgian chased and painted icons, vitreous enamel, jewelry, textiles, and unique works of embroidery.

Georgian theatres are also worth attending if you are in Tbilisi. The Gabriadze Theater is among the world’s significant cultural institutions presenting mature puppet performances. The theatre is located in Tbilisi's historic part. Its picturesque building was designed by a Georgian artist, writer, and director Gabriade. Among the shows in its current repertoire are: “The Autumn of My Spring”, “Stalingrad”, “Ramona”, “Diamond of Marshal de Fant’e”. For foreigner visitors, the theatre provides English subtitles.

Another place to visit in the historic part is a bath district (Abanotubani). The district is known for its sulfur waters and anyone is welcome to experience it. According to a legend the King of Iberia, Vakhtang Gorgasali’s falcon fell exactly on this place, leading to the discovery of the hot springs andto foundation of a new capital - Tbilisi.
The surrounding place is a center for various religions - visitors can observe orthodox, catholic, Gregorian churches, mosque and synagogue at the same district.

Are you interested in antiquity? There is a long street dedicated to historical and antique objects in Tbilisi. Apart from selling various antique products, you can look around for paintings exhibited on the street. The place is called “dry bridge”.

It is located near renovated Aghmashenebeli Avenue and Deda Ena Park (the park dedicated to Georgian language). Both the park along and the avenue is full of cafes and restaurants, where you can taste Georgian dishes and wine. There is a green space to have a picnic and to relax in the park along with sport facilities for roller-skaters, cyclists and skateboarders.
