Here are some of the things that tourists like and dislike about Batumi:

“I'm dissatisfied with the restaurant system, my order
came late .It should not take up to 20 minutes to prepare a soft drink. It's very irritating, because I'm waiting in my own time," - says a tourist from China.

“However, the city's development is what I like, "The pace in the city is evident, with the construction of buildings and all that’s going on, I'm sure Batumi will be much more beautiful and economically stronger in ten years time."

Others say that they dislike the noise caused by the many construction projects ongoing in the city. They also dis like the pollution and inconvenience that they cause.

However “Batumi is a tourist city so it needs construction and development.” – say tourists from Armenia

Others don’t agree with the view that Batumi should continue to be renovated. A tourist from Ukraine thinks that too much renovation in old Batumi may have an adverse effect which would result in a loss of its ancient heritage.

"It’s sad to see so many modern buildings being built in old Batumi. In my opinion, the old Batumi should not be used for the construction of new buildings." says an Ukrainian tourist.

Those who visit Batumi for the first time love the Georgian cuisine and its hospitable people.

“It’s my first time in Georgia, and I’m already in love with this place. I didn’t expect Batumi and Georgia to be so beautiful. I love everything, the beach, the cuisine – everything is just astonishing.” – I’m very happy to be here and I’m sure I’ll be back soon. – says Dimitri from Kazakhstan.

“Batumi is a fascinating city, the cuisine is delicious, and the sea is very nice. It’s very comfortable vacationing here. We’re staying close to the sea so we like to go to the beach every day; however, it’s a bit disappointing when it rains at times.” – says a couple from Kiev.
