The Guardian Nigeria Wallpaper published an article about Georgia, calling it “the perfect travel destination”. There are endless reasons why Georgia is a perfect destination for summer holidays”, the author says. 

Georgia is at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. Surrounded by different countries and cultures, it has been moulded into an unique place over the years. The Guardian is mostly impressed with the Caucasian mountains, especially Tusheti National Park (northeast of Georgia) which is compared with Scotland. The highest mountain
peak in Europe is in Georgia, Mount Elbrus,at 5642 meters high.

Georgia is always crowded with tourists in summer and the article suggests that all visitors should go to Georgia as soon as possible. Cheap food and drink is another reason why tourists should visit Georgia. Open food markets with fresh and colourful vegetables and fruit are found in Tbilisi. The article notes that food in these markets do not have price tags, and so is open to price negotiations with sellers.

Jewellery, fabrics, carpets and clothes with traditional Georgian ornaments and symbols are also sold at open markets in the streets. As for the cuisine, it is influenced by both Europe and Asia. The national dish Khinkali is very popular among tourists. It is Georgian juicy dumplings with flavored meat.

The author emphasizes the kindness, hospitality and generosity of the locals. Tourists are advised about having chats with the locals in Georgia, where even strangers treat each other like members of the family. The must-see place for tourists is Kazbegi (northeast of Georgia). Gergeti Trinity Church is located on Kazbegi’s high mountains. The landscape and nature spreading from the mountains is truly worth experiencing.
