10 August, 2018
Ever wondered whether does it snows in the Georgian mountains in summer or not? – Here’s the answer.

Mountaineer and guide Giorgi Gomiashvili recently published photos of the Kazbegi Meteostation. It is the middle of August, the hottest month of the year and yet, everything is covered with snow out there.

The original name of town the Kazbegi town is Stepamtsminda. It is located at 1740 meteres above the sea level. So it is no surprise, that even in the summer,
it sometimes snows in this small town.

Enjoy the photos.
