Stunning paintings of Rusudan Petviashvili
Rusudan Petviashvili is a Georgian painter. Her talent is recognized worldwide. She started painting at the age of 2. Her paintings have been exhibited in various countries. “National Fairy Tales of Georgia” and the medieval epic poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” are decorated by her illustrations. The presidential palace in Tbilisi is also replete with the illustrations of the painter.

In the age of 8, Rusudan Petviashvili held two personal exhibitions in Moscow. Three years later, another exhibition took place in Moscow, then in Tbilisi. A 13-year-old Rusudan exhibited her works in different towns of France and, finally, in Paris.

Apart from the book illustrations, she has worked on illustrations for religious manuscripts. Rusudan participates in the painting of the miniatures for the Gospel under the benediction of his Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

Rusudan Petviashvili is listed in “2000 Famous Persons of XX Century”, the book published by the Cambridge Biographical Centre”. Her works of art are large-formatted, highly-complicated one-touch drawings that amaze Georgians as well as the international public.
