At first, she started producing only dried persimmons. In the future, Mariam plans to incorporate more and more types of fruits into her business. Fruits for the company will be purchased from the local farmers contributing to the local economic development. Besides, the expanded business will involve more people in the production and drying process of the fruits.

The products of the young Georgian entrepreneur are distributed to those Georgian markets and stores selling sweets and organic foods. Mariam has taken part in the project “Produce in Georgia" that granted her a scholarship. The project was organized by Enterprise Georgia which is the first government institution in Georgia mandated to facilitate export and private sector development through a variety of financial and technical support mechanisms. The scholarship helped Mariam create a family hostel “Violet” in Kvareli, Kakheti. The hostel is very popular among locals and tourists, especially in summer.
