Tbilisi covered with fireworks on the New Year’s Eve

Old Tbilisi was entirely covered with fireworks on the New Year’s Eve in Georgia.
A video published by the Georgian photographer Shermazana or Giorgi Shermazanashvili shows the old city – people start fireworks at 11:59 pm and greet the New 2019 with joy and happiness.

On the background there are Metekhi church that was renovated in the 13th century. There is a Sioni Cathedral built in the 5th century. The cathedral was renovated several times afterwards. Since 1920 Sioni w
as named as a cathedral where the patriarch holds services.
