Conchitaism

Conchitaism
“Das ist mir doch alles Wurst” or “it’s all the same to me” – says this German expression, which is used as a catch phrase by Conchita to describe his/her personality and philosophy of life. It is all the same to him/her, but the most interesting part of the whole thing about this famous bearded drag queen is that the rest of the world doesn’t care either. Yes, we don’t care anymore whether we perform our libidinous shtick this way
or that way. The Austrian singer Tom Neuwirth, 26 has chosen the German word “wurst” (sausage) as her stage name. And no more no less, he/she has recently won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Conchita Wurst is a gay male, enjoying the conjugal life of the same category, no kids – just another DINK family!
As I said, in our turned-upside-down-and-inside-out crazy world things like this no longer make any difference. Is this good or bad? The mankind has no consensual response to this dragged-in-time question, but the truth of the day is that men increasingly desire sex with men and women with women, and they want it to be open and legal, being nonchalant to some of those nonconventional aberrations from what is still thought to be a norm in standard connubial relationships. Conchita is a clearly exceptional case because Conchita’s trivial case of regular homosexuality, including all those attributes of gay life, has recently gone tremendously political – he/she has become a wildly applauded hero of Eurovision-2104, and he/ she has achieved this with his/her run-of-the-mill talent for singing. As a matter of fact, I can suggest forthwith tens of young girls in Georgia whose vocal aptitude might easily rank higher than that of Conchita’s. What has helped him/her to win? – The drastically changing world which desperately wants to be as homosexual as possible in times when the world is still dominated by heterosexual “bigots”! Isn’t it outrageous that a regular straight person might get stigmatized as “bigot” if, God forbid, that straight person dares open the mouth and says loudly that he cannot put up with homosexuality and cannot treat the gay dudes as he treats his fellow straight humans. Would this be a terrible breach of the gay population’s human rights? OK, but who will defend the right of a straight person to love and hate as he thinks is right? The reciprocity of feelings must be in place here: if gay men and women want to pursue their freedom to be gay and are asking for tolerance on part of straight men and women, then heterosexuals may also ask for their right to love and hate at their own discretion. Go ahead and be whatever you want to be, but please don’t stick up your preferences right into my sensitive nose. Fair enough? Somebody might say No, but again – be what you are, but let me be what I am too. You want to express your gay feelings? I wish to express my straight feelings exactly the same way. More precisely, I want to have right to say loudly what I like and what I dislike. There is no need to pamper too much any sexual orientation – gay or straight! Certainly, violence must be punished by the supreme law of any land, including this country. Discrimination is a very funny thing to entertain. It has quite a number of sides and angles which are often forgotten when the phenomenon of discrimination is used as a tool for achieving a political goal. So is everything else, including musical events like Eurovision! Conchita has won the contest, and I am glad for him/her, and God knows I am being sincere when I am saying this. And the earned points are not ending here. Points, other than the earned ones from singing, are adding up quickly and profusely and the sum of these ‘other‘points are giving us a new philosophical “ism” – Conchitaism, which is proliferating throughout the world quicker than we think it is. Conchitaism has simply gone metastatic over and inside the Earth! And it seems that the parameters of Homo and Trans phobias are being artificially boosted, and awareness about them is exaggerated. Oh, my God, those imperative trends are so powerful! And Conchitaism is a very multifaceted thing! For instance, the farseeing Malthus observed that sooner or later the world population would be checked by famine and disease. Had he lived long enough to witness the vicissitudes of our times, he might have added Conchitaism to the list of population checkers. Conchitaism is a winner today and it is taking the world in totally different direction. The modified direction of the world is embraced by the mankind and is being religiously nursed. Why does the world want to be homosexual so extensively, so desperately and so openly? Here, I need a psychological help. I cannot provide the answer on my own. The advent of Conchitaism seems to be indispensable today, coming and taking over the traditional family values. Conchitaism is striving for political support and public approval for the family life of this philosophy, giving homosexuality the status of heterosexual normalcy, and it already enjoys the governmental sanction and public endorsement on a wide-range basis. Just look at the number of nations who have legalized the same-sex marriage, and the enthusiasm of public at Eurovision, hailing their darling Conchita. Conchitaism has reached Georgia too. I wish the general Western progress had reached Georgia sooner. I have heard that the benign attitude of the Georgian people to this kind of phenomena might help Georgia pal up with Europe sooner than later. It is so ridiculous that Georgia will not be considered a civilized enough nation until it demonstrates complete tolerance to homosexuality. Well, I am a very tolerant man and gays do not bother me at all, but I feel split and torn apart between my civilian and my national-patriotic feelings. As a human being, I believe in freedom, tolerance and nondiscrimination, but procreation is also important to me because my Georgian people are in bad need to reproduce themselves plentifully to make a physical survival. Homosexuals are not making the kids of their own, although they tend to be adopting the children in general. Kill me if I am wrong!
