Love

Have you ever come across any definition of love which happens to be in total agreement with your perception and your concept of this unspeakable human sensation? I have not!

I would like to very gingerly touch upon this feeling the way I see it, being absolutely aware of the truth that the most brilliant minds in history have already done so, and nothing is left for a nonentity like me to add. What I know for sure is that without

love happiness is nonexistent. And if happiness is an issue at all, then we have to be in love and being loved too. If this simple formula is not true for some of us, then the case needs to be taken to a professional level of consultation. So let us take from the point that love is a requisite basis for happiness which has to be first recognized within ourselves. Another point that is asking for divulging is that love needs to be expressed – desirably, in the most delicately presented way. And finally and absolutely, love wants to be consummated – again, most accordingly and agreeably. Let us reiterate on the suggested concept in a nutshell: Recognition – Expression – Consummation. This formula does not at all mean that I am squeezing love into the frames invented by me, nor do I suggest shackling the most elevated of human feelings so cruelly. What I am trying to say is that those are the three steps you cannot avoid making if you want your love to work and be effective. Speaking about the Recognition, how do we know that we are in love, which deserves recognition? I am not going to enumerate those undeniable symptoms of being in love – this will be too simplistic of me. Yes, we are all individuals, but the love symptoms are very commonplace and they could be generalized with negligible deviations. When it comes to the stage of Expression, our individualism shows itself in its full swing, and our spiritual powers are all on display. Here, we have to be extremely careful because here we are prone to mess up something. The third part which is Consummation may render us very vulnerable and can easily put us in limbo, often in trouble too. At this point, all sorts of written and unwritten laws start emerging to be observed, imposing on us the multitude of moralistic, ethical or canonical codes of behavior. Avoiding them might be dangerous if not futile at all. Smart maneuvering might be helpful to a certain extent, but the most optimal direction of thought could still be not going against the functioning law or solid indigenous traditions – just to keep safe from unwelcome headache. But the problem with a human being is that even having mastered the above formula for handling love, we still tend to go against universally accepted notions and make momentary decisions which will eventually work against us. Why? Not because we are generally insane, but only because love is a feeling which may not be handled in a fixedly standard way, or manipulated at an individual’s own discretion or abused without being deservedly punished. Love is tender and fragile although it may be as lasting and durable as a piece of diamond which might be lost or buried but never disappears – it has that quality of a gem. Hence, I would use any good formula to avoid the mishandling of this great feeling we usually call love.
