The Guardian names Georgia’s ART-CAFÉ Home among 10 best rooftop bars in Europe
Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital hides a treasure at every corner. Georgian art cafes represent Tbilisi’s yet another captivating feature beside its landmarks that attract tourists so much.

Leading British newspaper The Guardian has recently published an article about the best rooftop bars in Europe with Georgia’s ART-CAFÉ Home among them. ART-CAFÉ Home is one of the most popular and frequently visited places in Georgia for local as well as tourists. The venue is a combination of café and club, located in three
storey house in Tbilisi’s historic district. The place is furnished typical to an ordinary house, with a kitchen and a bathroom included, creating a cozy and a homelike atmosphere.

Yet ART-CAFÉ is mostly known for its amazing rooftop with colorful illuminations overlooking the major landmarks of the city, such as the monument of Mother of Georgia and Narikala Fortress. Along with ART-CAFÉ Home, the selection also includes other popular rooftop bars throughout Europe, such as Skajo rooftop bar in Freiburg, Germany, Park in Lisbon, Frank’s Café in Peckham, London, Konak Cafe, in Istanbul, La Pedera in Barcelona, The Nebotičnik in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Rinascente in Palermo, Sicily, 360 Bar in Budapest and Locavore Bar in Västerås, Sweden.

Here is what The Guardian says about Georgia’s ART-CAFÉ Home:

“After entering what seems like an abandoned club cloakroom through an unmarked door, climb the stairs to find the Art-Cafe Home rooftop. With comfy sofas, a chilled vibe and friendly locals, this bar is the perfect place to enjoy standard cocktails with a distinctly Georgian twist (cha-cha, a Georgian equivalent of grappa, features heavily). Best of all, it is a great spot to view the eclectic architecture of Tbilisi – the medieval fortress, crumbling Soviet houses and enormous modern constructions.”

Art-Café HOME is located literally in the heart of Old Tbilisi and is the perfect destinations point to spend a weekend. It operates as a Pre-Club Cocktail Bar with celebrated Georgian DJs playing on weekends and offering unique cocktails with affordable prices. It has 4 floors, including veranda and Rooftop with amazing views of Tbilisi.

Art-Café HOME inside out is very artsy. HOME GALLERY conducts sales exhibitions as well as organizes small art fair of paintings created in 89-91 years by Georgian Artists. The exterior of the building is very minimalistic that make it stand out from the old Tbilisi style buildings, while its unique Interior is a great example of 90’s Contemporary lux design.
