 Bus Drivers On Strike

It is the third day of strike of yellow bus drivers in Tbilisi. As one of the drivers told InterPressNews, part of the drivers are invited to the City Assembly today to find solution to the issue, meeting with the MPs will be held.


“As we were told, working group has been set up in the City Assembly. Some of our representatives will meet the City Assembly members today. The strike will not end till our demands are met”, one

of the drivers said.
Drivers of the yellow bus went on strike on 8 November. Over 1300 drivers participate in the strike. They demand the 16-point demands to be met, mainly improvement of the working conditions, salary increase. No bus operates in Tbilisi and citizens have to travel by mini-buses and metro.
