Georgian beetroot salad with tkemali and… a secret ingredient

Make your own delicious beetroot salad with Georgian plum sauce tkemali. Here we present a slightly different recipe than the original one, with a secret ingredient .

Ingredients:

Beetroot 1kg
Tkemali sauce (Georgian plum sauce) 1l
Cornel or cherry juice 1l
Garlic 3 cloves
Green onion 1 bunch
Coriander 1 bunch
Mint to your taste
Pepper and salt
Dried seasoning ½ tsp


Preparation:


Boil the beetroot and let it cool down.
Mix tkemali, cornel or cherry juice, greens, chopped onion,
spices, salt and pepper.
Mix this sauce with already cut beetroot into small pieces. Put the salad in a jar and store in the fridge for 3 hours.
You can also decorate the dish with chopped greens on the top or garnish with chopped roasted walnuts.
This chilled juicy salad is ideal to enjoy with Georgian corn bread mchadi.
