Chirbuli - Adjarian style eggs make the best breakfast you can imagine

Chirbuli is yet another delicious dish from Georgia’s Adjara region. The dish is made with eggs and a peculiar sauce combining walnuts and tomatoes. Such a mixture of flavors might sounds strange, but it is definitely worth tasting. Once you have a chance to visit Adjara, make sure to try this dish at any cost. Ingredients:

2-3 juicy tomatoes
One onion
3 eggs
10 walnuts
15g of coriander
10g of basil
1 clove of garlic
One tsp of red pepper
1 tsp of corn flour
50g of butter
Salt to taste

Preparation:
Fry chopped onions in 50 grams of butter on a low flame until they turn golden. Add 1 tsp of corn flour and mix well. Add peeled and chopped tomatoes to the pan and continue cooking on low heat, stirring frequently. Add ground walnuts, crushed garlic, red pepper and salt to the mixture and stir well. Add chopped coriander and basil to the pan and stir again. Carefully crack the eggs and pour them onto the chirbuli sauce. Let the dish cook for 3 minutes. When the eggs are ready, remove the pan from the stove and serve.
