Chakhokhbili with mushroom shila plavi
Chakhokhbili (stewed chicken with fresh herbs and tomatoes) and shila plavi with mushrooms (similar to risotto) are two popular Georgian dishes that go well with each other. Tender and juicy chicken meat with a hearty portion of rice with mushrooms will be an ideal solution for your dinner. As a rule, shila plavi has a creamy consistency, but in this version each grain is distinct and not mushy.

Meanwhile fry finely chopped onions in oily saucepan for 10 minutes. Add carrot to the saucepan and cook the mixture for 3 minutes. Add chopped mushrooms to the saucepan and cook until the liquid evaporates. Add rice, spices, garlic cloves and salt to the mixture. Mix up all the ingredients and pour 3-4 glasses of boiling water.
