Popular Facebook page Insider Cheese, which serves as a guide to all things cheesy and delicious, released new video revealing 8 cheesy dishes the one has to try in New York, with Georgian cheese boat Adjaruli Khachapuri among them.

The representatives of the Insider Cheese made a video of Georgian cheese boat, which went viral on social media.

The Insider team was hosted by the restaurant’s owner Netty Davitashvili and Georgian Chef Dima Molashvili.

This kind of khachapuri has a boat-like shape

This kind of khachapuri has a boat-like shape and is served with undercooked egg in the middle of cheese along with a generous chunk of butter on the top.

Since Adjara is a seaside part of the country, the inspiration of the dish came from the sea and fishermen. The shape of the pie resembles a boat while the egg yolk symbolizes sun setting in the sea. Adjaruli is often referred to as Georgian pizza.
