Georgian food and trademarks such as khachapuri, cheese bread, khinkali, meat dumplings, nigvziani badrijani, eggplant rolls with walnut have gone beyond country’s borders for quite a long time ago. A number or Georgian restaurants have emerged over these years around the world introducing Georgian flavor to their customers. Yet, apart from restaurants ordinary citizens of foreign countries have been captivated by hearty Georgian dishes and even started to lay traditional “Supra” Georgian feast table at their homes.

“Didimadalopt! I first heard about Georgia from my Georgian Husband Eldari Sharashenidze. He was born and raised in Tbilisi! We are no longer together but remain great friends. He along with his Georgian friends would have Supras for so many occasions. I couldn't wait for the next one! I first learned and perfected Khachapuri. Even my Georgian friends would have me be the one who regularly make it for them! I still make it for my niece's and nephews who beg me to make it when they visit! From there I would learn from him and his friends more Georgian dishes! I realized that I missed a few as I rewatched my video! There are So many I love to eat! I'll have to have Another Supra! I have never been to Georgia....yet! But plan to visit one day soon! The way the Georgian Supra video happened ,was due to my friends and I who have Monthly Dinners that represent a different Country! One day my friend and I were talking about Food and I mentioned Khachapuri! My friend said....YOU Know about GEORGIAN FOOD?? She was headed to New York City to meet up with a friend to dine in a GEORGIAN Restaurant! She said I LOVE GEORGIAN FOODS!! She also wants to visit Georgia one day! So right there we decided our next Country would be Georgia!

Of course I was Very Excited because I am always waiting for the Next Supra! After our Video was made I shared it with my Friends on Facebook. Eldari shared it with some of his friends and it spread around the World! The Georgian Band the Nadirashvili Family ~Trio Saunja (sp) featured in the video are my friends and they had shared their NYC Concert Video with me,so I thought it would be nice to have it playing for music and show my American Friends the Beautiful Georgian Culture. I love Georgian Foods, the Culture and mostly the Georgian People! I used to Cook, and Dance Georgian so well ,that my Georgian friends used to say you Already look GEORGIAN and when you become Orthodox you will be a True GEORGIAN! Lol! I'm just Excited to Visit one day and see the Beauty of the Country I've only known through Stories and Songs from my GEORGIAN Friends! Thanks for sharing my story!! Garmajous.”

“I currently live in NY. My husband and I met while living on Sanibel island in FL. There is a Large GEORGIAN Community there that I had no idea living there almost 20 years! I had just returned from a trip to Italy! When we first started talking to each other I thought his accent was Italian! We started dating and soon he took me to a GEORGIAN Supra!! It was overwhelming to say the least! I couldn't BELIEVE How Many Plates of Food they were able to get on the Table! Not to mention All the Delecious Dish's of Food that was Never Ending from the Kitchen! I was Hooked! I've Always loved to Cook and learn other Cultures foods.
