Fried beef liver in pomegranate juice

Locals in the Samegrelo region (in the west part of Georgia) cook beef liver in pomegranate juice. Although the meal requires more than 2 hours to cook, it is definitely worth the effort. Here are the ingredients you will need to make beef liver in a Megrelian way:

Beef liver – 500g.
2-3 whole onions
A cup of pomegranate juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Butter for fat to fry the meal in
Pomegranate seeds
Parsley

Preparation:

Cut the liver into
3-4 thin parts. Add salt and pepper to pomegranate juice and pour the mixture over the livers. Keep the livers in the refrigerator in this condition for about 2 hours. Then put butter in a frying pan and fry the livers in it. After they are fried, add the chopped onions and mix all the ingredients in the pan. Keep the pan on the heat for a minute and finally, add chopped parsley and pomegranate seeds to the meal.
